JOB SUMMARY
Individuals occupying coaching positions are responsible for developing fundamental skills and an understanding of the rules of the sport in participants, modeling and fostering cooperation, sportsmanship, and ethical behavior. Coaches determine the system of play to be used and develop and implement best strategies and methods to carry out the system. They are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for participants, ensuring their eligibility, and monitoring their behavior.
Coaches issue and inventory equipment, maintain financial and other related records, and perform other related duties as assigned.
SALARY
Stipend $4,227 - $5,285. Stipend based on current salary schedule 2025-26 AAA Salary Schedule . Salary placement determined by Human Resources DOE.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will possess knowledge of the sport and experience in coaching, demonstrating effective skills, strategies, and techniques and the ability to take a concept/skill from learning through implementation to mastery; be a role model with the skills to build a cohesive team; be a positive motivator and skilled communicator; work well with students, staff, parents, and the community.
- Have demonstrated successful coaching experience, either at the head or assistant level
- Possess or be willing to obtain a valid First Aid/CPR card.
