Description

The School of Educational Studies (SES) at the University of Washington, Bothell invites applications for part‑time Teaching Associate(s) for Field Instruction in the Elementary Education teacher certification undergraduate and post‑baccalaureate programs with an anticipated start date within the academic year 2026‑27. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a part‑time basis with FTE dependent on the number of student teacher candidates supported for a quarterly academic appointment beginning either on 09/16/26 or 03/16/27.

The base salary range for this position will be $6,000‑$7,000 per month and Teaching Associates will be paid a percentage of this based on the number of student teacher candidates supervised, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

The SES teacher certification programs enable student teacher candidates to pursue teacher certification in Elementary Education with a dual endorsement option in either English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) or Special Education (SPED) during the final quarters at UW Bothell.

The successful candidate will be expected to work with elementary education student teacher candidates at K‑12 levels, as well as with candidates in the dual endorsement program for ESOL and/or SPED.
