The First Year Pre‑Major Programs and the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences (IAS) at the University of Washington Bothell (UWB) invites applications for a part‑time teaching position in the first‑year composition program. The successful candidate will join the faculty on a 33.33% FTE basis for a three‑month non‑renewable appointment beginning September 26, 2026.

Base salary range: $6,353 - $6,500 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

• Ph.D. or M.A. in Rhetoric and Composition or a related field (required at time of appointment)
• Demonstrated commitment to best practices in composition studies
• Evidence of teaching first‑year composition
• Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse students and the community
