Description
The Department of Engineering and Mathematics at the University of Washington Bothell is inviting applications for a Part‑time Lecturer (multi‑year). The appointment will begin on September 16, 2026 and will be for a nine‑month service period.
Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and laboratories in Electrical Engineering.
- Assume an initial base FTE of 55.55% (potentially up to 88.89%) for a nine‑month academic year.
- Teach between five and eight undergraduate/graduate courses and labs during the three quarters of the academic year, depending on curricular needs.
- Education:
Master’s degree required, preferably Ph.D., in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field by the time of appointment. - Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and innovative pedagogy.
- Demonstrated ability to teach a broad range of courses and labs in Electrical Engineering, including circuits, analog electronics, digital electronics, and signals and systems.
- Assessment of teaching effectiveness and experience in inclusive teaching practices.
Full‑time monthly salary range: $8,400–$9,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications (or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination). This rate is prorated based on the assigned FTE for the 9‑month academic year.
