Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Director of Student Learning Operations:
Curriculum, Scheduling and Support, the Assistant Director of Student Learning Program Operations and Support collaborates with the Student Learning Deans and Directors to standardize and coordinate the implementation of centralized departmental functions and curricular activities and includes supervising Student Learning support staff and overseeing front office activities.

As Assistant Director of Student Learning Program Operations and Support, it is expected that the following qualities will be demonstrated daily: a high degree of understanding and empathy for all students, faculty, staff and visitors, as well as the ability to encourage the inclusion of all voices in decision-making, promoting equity in all areas, and actively working against institutionalized norms of oppression against historically marginalized people.

Initial Salary: $84,812.09 (includes 5% King County Premium Pay)

Curriculum, Scheduling and Support

Essential Duties

Student Learning (SL) Department Coordination and Operational Support:

* Oversee Student Learning front-office business processes that support deans, directors, faculty, staff, and students including:

* Supervise Student Learning support staff including prioritizing and assigning work, conducting annual performance evaluations, ensuring proper communication and office coverage

* Coordinate meeting support needs; centralize scheduling and note-taking

* Develop training and procedure documents, and coordinate regular staff training

* ERP maintenance:
Ensure that Student Learning electronic resources sites are up-to-date and organized (Teams, Go,Cascadia, Faculty Hub, shared servers)

* Standardize, centralize, and maintain documentation for Student Learning business processes

* Coordinate activities related to Full-Time (FT) and Associate Faculty (AF) hiring to assure equitable processes

* Maintain centralized list of quarterly Associate Faculty availability

SL Program and Curricular Support:

* Coordinate College in the High School (CiHS) activities

* Collect and review CiHS syllabi annually

* Collect, review and categorize artifacts for accreditation

* Update external web info as needed

* Coordinate and review grade submissions at the end of each term

* Maintain contracts and processes for shared programs (GIS
¿ Skagit, BSTEC Edmonds, EM Pierce)

* Coordinate quarterly and annual class offerings, update in google doc

* Verify and process invoices

* Coordinate Credit for Prior Learning requests

* Respond to new student requests and inquiries

* Track internal processes and documentation through student completion

* Applied and Experiential Learning coordination

* Maintain centralized list of applied learning resources such as internship sites

* Support and track faculty connections to community entities who support student integrated learning experiences
