Title: Lecturer Full-Time Temporary in Chemistry - UW Bothell

We invite applications for a Lecturer Full‑Time Temporary position with an anticipated start date of September 16, 2026. The appointment is a non‑tenure track, non‑voting, non‑promo table faculty position, 100% FTE, lasting nine months per academic year, renewable for up to three consecutive years, contingent on instructional needs, performance and funding.

The successful candidate will teach upper‑level physical chemistry lecture and laboratory courses (BCHEM 401/402/404) and general chemistry lecture and laboratory courses (BCHEM 143/153/163 and BCHEM 144/154/164). The candidate may also teach an upper‑level elective in their specialty and mentor undergraduate students in a research setting. The appointment expects teaching nine courses over the regular academic year.

Instructional needs for the 2026‑27 Academic Year include:

• Autumn – BCHEM 401, BCHEM 143B, BCHEM 144B and BCHEM 144F
• Winter – BCHEM 402, BCHEM 154B, BCHEM 154C and BCHEM 154F
• Spring – BCHEM 404A, BCHEM 404B, BCHEM 154E, BCHEM 153 or BCHEM 493

The base salary range for this position is $6,000 – $6,860 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

• PhD in chemistry or a related field (or foreign equivalent) required by time of appointment.
