The Opportunity

Tetra Tech’s Aquatic Restoration Program is adding a qualified Aquatic Restoration Administrator to support and strengthen our growing team.

The ideal candidate will have up to five years of professional experience, with a Master’s degree providing up to four years of equivalent experience. Experience in river restoration, permitting, project management, and planning is highly desired. Position Summary

The Aquatic Restoration Administrator will support the Aquatic Restoration Program in project management, compliance, financial tracking, and team coordination. The selected candidate will assist with project delivery, invoicing, proposal preparation, and program metrics while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes and adherence to Tetra Tech’s operational standards.

Essential Job Functions
  • Support Aquatic Restoration program with project management tasks.
  • Assist with compliance related to project management, health and safety, quality, and project delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that values safety, retention, and professional growth.
  • Participate in internal processes related to project management initiatives, contract reviews, and cost reviews.
  • Support invoicing, budget tracking, meeting facilitation, and staff planning.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.
Deputy Project Management
  • Work with Client Managers, Initiative Leads, Operations, and Aquatic Staff on project tasks.
  • Assist with annual goal planning related to health, safety, and quality.
  • Track key performance indicators (revenue, utilization, discretionary spending, backlog, and cash management).
  • Monitor client drivers and emerging regulations within the stream restoration sector.
Project Management and Execution
  • Help develop and track aquatic restoration projects from assessment to implementation.
  • Serve as Deputy Project Manager in planning and executing stream and watershed restoration projects.
  • Provide technical support for project stages including assessments, surveys, analyses, environmental permitting, design, and construction.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, biology, planning, environmental studies, or similar).
  • 3–5 years of professional experience, which may include field work, project management, or restoration implementation.
  • Minimum 1 year supporting technical staff or project management functions.
  • Working knowledge of aquatic restoration methodologies and project processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Proficiency in GIS, CAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
