Summary
Creates and modifies detail, assembly, and installation drawings and related documentation using 2D and 3D CAD tools under general guidance while exercising independent judgment in design decisions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Generates complete documentation packages: detail/assembly/installation drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), material specifications, GD&T tolerances, finish requirements, and trim/fastener detail.
- Selects design solutions (materials, geometry, sequencing) and assesses trade‑offs for manufacturability, cost, weight, quality, and schedule.
- Participates in design reviews and provides input on improvements, feasibility, and risk; proposes design alternatives when obstacles arise.
- Manages work within project schedules and budget constraints; anticipates conflicts or delays and prioritizes tasks accordingly.
- Maintains professional development by working closely with lead engineers, staying current with CAD tools, drawing standards, design methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Collaborates across teams and ensures compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standards throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Maintains regular attendance, including being at work, being on time, and working full shifts.

Bachelor's degree (B.S) in engineering, minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aviation background and aircraft interior experience preferred. Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person, defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylum seeker for legal compliance purposes.
RequiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Computer Aided Drafting/Design skills (AutoCAD/Inventor preferred).
- Knowledge of industry design and documentation standards, e.g., ASME.
- Experience in manufacturing techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally as part of an established and growing team.
