Key skills:
Experience exercising Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) applications, such as STAR-CCM+, for aerodynamic and aerothermodynamic characterization.
- Demonstrate required engineering skills, enthusiasm and interest in business, and an aptitude for working with internal and external customers to achieve assigned tasks.
- Undertake administrative and support tasks for the Munitions Engineering department, providing an opportunity to apply basic engineering skills in a highly active environment.
- Progressively be assigned tasks of increasing complexity appropriate to level of education and skills.
- Familiarity with CAD or CAE applications, such as CREO, to create and/or modify part and assembly level geometry.
- Experience with lower‑order aerodynamic predictive tools such as Missile Datcom for aerodynamic characterization.
- Experience with wind tunnel testing and aerodynamic database development.
- Apply standard practices and techniques in the completion of specific assignments; prepare data for analysis by experienced engineers.
- Conduction of engineering analysis of simple problems relating to overall design of gas generation systems, limited application of standard principles.
- Perform trade studies and parametric analyses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with general‑purpose modeling codes such as Matlab and Simulink.
