The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Senior Marine Sediment Project Manager to support and grow our sediment remediation practice in the Pacific Northwest. This role focuses on leading complex sediment investigation and cleanup projects, managing multidisciplinary teams, supporting regulatory and stakeholder engagement, and contributing to business development efforts.
The successful candidate will lead technical and project management activities associated with contaminated sediment sites, including investigation, feasibility studies, remedial design, permitting, implementation, and long-term management. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects throughout the Pacific Northwest while supporting Tetra Tech's continued growth in the sediment remediation market.

Your Role:
Project & Technical Leadership
* Lead sediment investigations, Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS), and remedial design and implementation projects.
* Develop conceptual site models, feasibility studies, and alternatives analyses.
* Oversee remedial design activities, including capping, dredging, and bank stabilization.
* Coordinate geotechnical, hydraulic, structural, and water quality evaluations.
* Support permitting and implementation of sediment remediation projects.
* Evaluate sediment remediation technologies and support development of remediation designs for large contaminated sediment sites involving multiple stakeholders.
* Develop field sampling programs and oversee data evaluation and interpretation.
Project Management
* Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and deliverables.
* Direct multidisciplinary teams across multiple offices and geographic locations.
* Prepare work plans, technical reports, design packages, and cost estimates.
* Coordinate construction activities and monitor field performance.
* Manage subcontractors, contractors, and field teams.
* Serve as a senior technical advisor and project manager for major sediment remediation programs.
* Mentor and develop junior and mid-level project managers and technical staff.
* Provide strategic direction for project execution and client service delivery.
Regulatory & Stakeholder Engagement
* Interface with regulatory agencies including EPA, USACE, and state and local agencies.
* Support permitting activities, regulatory negotiations, and stakeholder engagement efforts.
* Participate in public meetings and client presentations as required.
* Maintain effective working relationships with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders.
Business Development
* Lead major proposal pursuits and client account development activities.
* Support practice growth through identification of strategic opportunities and expansion of existing client relationships.
* Develop, strengthen, and expand relationships with existing and prospective clients.
* Support proposal preparation, technical presentations, and marketing initiatives.
* Identify and pursue new project opportunities.
* Contribute to strategic growth initiatives within the sediment remediation practice.
* Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
* Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
* Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
* Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field.
* 12
-15+ years of experience supporting contaminated sediment remediation and hazardous waste projects.
* Strong expertise with:
* CERCLA processes including RI/FS and RD/RA
* Environmental field investigations and sampling oversight
* Contractor management
* In-water permitting including:
* Clean Water Act Sections 401 and 404
* Rivers and Harbors Act Section 10
* Sediment remediation technologies and design evaluation
* Development of field sampling programs and data analysis
* Demonstrated project management and team leadership experience.
