Engineering Manager – JLL

JLL is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the strategic direction and operational excellence of engineering services across our national portfolio. The role combines technical expertise with business acumen to drive innovation while ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.

This leadership role demands a visionary who balances technical excellence with strategic business objectives. The Engineering Manager will work alongside multi‑site teams to develop standards and best practices, serve as the technical authority for complex building systems and critical infrastructure, and maintain the highest levels of safety and compliance.

• Lead and support the engineering staff to develop a high‑performing team.
• Support building operations through an integrated facilities management and engineering team to assure high infrastructure availability and client satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain a strategic plan for the engineering team in support of JLL and client objectives, focusing on innovation and best practices and creating standard work for all engineering activities.
• Ensure consistent maintenance management practices across the account portfolio and achieve Key Performance Indicators in alignment with MSA.
• Manage the on‑account service center, security, data management, and EHS managers and teams, actively managing direct reports to meet or exceed all contractual KPIs.
• Lead strategy on Asset Management Program and Technical Maintenance Program.
• Identify risks to client facilities and eliminate downtime.
• Implement and manage computerized maintenance management systems in accordance with JLL and client expectations.
• Oversee the JLL Engineering Services JLL Client Assurance Program.
• Work with HSSE Director on compliance and reporting of applicable environmental health and safety programs.
• Implement JLL's technical training programs based on needs gathered through skills assessments and safety requirements.
• Administer technical skills assessments and training programs for facility engineering personnel.
• Ensure the account's Sustainable Operations program develops and implements contractual energy management activities, including energy audits, benchmarking, and utility management.
• Assist Strategic Sourcing in bidding, negotiations, and administration of regional or national contracts for technical products or services.

• Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of direct supervision of multi‑building operations.
• Extensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression system knowledge of commercial/critical facilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written reports.
• Strong organization skills and a collaborative management style.
• Ability to travel up to 25% across North America.

• Extensive CMMS experience.
• Extensive BMS experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), or Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM).

Remote with up to 25% travel across North America.

110,000 – 130,000 USD per year.
