Position Title: Engineer II
The Engineer II role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of products, designs, and processes within a dynamic engineering team. This position involves a variety of assignments that require moderate independent judgment and collaboration with colleagues. The successful candidate will engage in conceptualization, research, planning, design, testing, and analysis. This role is essential in ensuring production efficiency and quality while addressing complex engineering challenges.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $115,000 / Year DOE
Responsibilities- Oversee the engineering team, managing four direct reports
- Conduct production health checks, reviewing yield, downtime, and quality data
- Support technicians and operators in resolving equipment or process issues
- Run experiments to enhance yield, cost, or cycle time
- Coordinate with suppliers for new equipment or upgrades
- Maintain and update manufacturing documentation
- Participate in audits and quality improvement efforts
- Optimize factory layout and ergonomics in collaboration with facilities teams
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of experience in mechanical engineering within a production environment
- Expertise in multiple technical disciplines, including rubber, fabrication, forming, coatings, castings, or machining
- Strong project management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Able to develop creative solutions to complex problems
- Supervisory experience overseeing one or two people is preferred
- Hands-on machining experience as a machine technician is preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred
- Detailed knowledge of the waterworks industry is preferred
