Compliance Engineer IThis role supports regulatory and standards compliance activities for design, production, and distribution of products or services. Working under close supervision, duties include testing, documentation, audits, and product evaluations to meet national and international standards.
Essential Job Functions- Review product designs for compliance with industry standards such as A2LA, ISO/IEC 17025, ASME, ANSI, UL, IAPMO, CSA, NSF, ASSE, FCC, and others.
- Support compliance testing and inspections by internal teams or external agencies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation (technical files, test reports).
- Coordinate third‑party audits or product certifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor regulatory changes and update internal compliance procedures.
- Assist in risk assessments, root‑cause analysis, and mitigation plans.
- Contribute to training and awareness activities related to compliance requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections, audits, and tests to verify compliance.
- Assist in preparing reports for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Support CAPA by investigating compliance issues and tracking resolutions.
- Help coordinate third‑party inspections or audits.
- Provide support during incident investigations and risk assessments.
- Assist with employee training related to compliance procedures and safety practices.
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and disposal of materials per regulations.
- Schedule preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment.
- Ensure tools and equipment are calibrated according to ISO/IEC 17025 procedures.
- Basic understanding of regulatory frameworks and standards applicable to the industry (medical devices, consumer electronics, automotive).
- Familiarity with test equipment and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic documentation tools.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor, Vault, Minitab, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft D365.
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- 0‑3 years of relevant engineering experience.
