We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer that has the same passion for geotechnical engineering and is ready for the next major step in their career!

Your specialized expertise, coupled with proven client focus, project management, leadership, and business development skills could lead to significant leadership management and ownership opportunities at HWA for the right person.

In addition to a positive attitude, a drive to succeed, and loving geotechnical engineering, candidates should have technical expertise in some/all of the following areas:

• Slope stability
• Retaining structures
• Highway pavements
• Analysis and design
• Staff training/mentoring
• Geotechnical instrumentation
• Shallow and deep foundations
• Ground improvement methods
• Seismic evaluation and design
• Tunneling and trenchless methods
• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to write and review technical reports
• Actively participate in marketing and business development activities

Job Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail
• 15 - 20 years of experience
• Able to juggle multiple projects
• PE / MS in Geotechnical Engineering
• Excellent communication skills (English), written and verbal
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment

This is a full-time role

Monday to Friday is the typical workweek

Work is performed in-person, onsite, in the field, and at HWA

Starting compensation for this role is $130,400 to $228,000 per year, based on your experience and qualifications
