Position: Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer (Aesthetics Med Device) (Bothell WA)

Principle

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead production test development: planning, test specs/procedures, test software, fixtures/tools, verification & validation, and implementation.
  • Define/develop/implement board, module, and system level tests at Solta and with suppliers.
  • Coordinate with R&D on New Product Introduction manufacturing test development to drive Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
  • Optimize test solutions for electromechanical assemblies/products.
  • Lead technical design reviews.
  • Document, validate, and maintain test fixtures and test systems for Production, Service, and subcontractors.
  • Create/implement/monitor KPIs; perform data analysis/trending.
  • Lead root-cause failure analysis.
  • Partner with quality and contract manufacturers to identify and eliminate defect sources.
Experience, Education, Training, Traits:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years manufacturing test engineering experience.
  • Experience designing/implementing test systems, custom PCBAs, and test fixtures.
  • Experience writing scripts/programs for manual and automated tests.
  • Ability to analyze circuit diagrams/schematics and troubleshoot electrical circuits.
  • Familiarity with DMM, oscilloscope, function generator, etc.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience (plus); FDA QSRs, ISO
    13485, IEC-60601 (plus).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills; self-motivated/results-oriented.
Desired

Skills:
  • VB/C# .NET, SQL, statistical analysis (e.g., MSA), lean concepts (RCCA/pFMEA), troubleshooting test equipment/processes, improving output/cycle time/yield.
  • RF/laser/ultrasound background; coach/train production personnel; strong PC skills (Word/Excel).
