Responsibilities- End-to-End Project Execution:
- Lead legal projects from initiation to close, handling requirements gathering, milestone tracking, and deliverable creation.
- Translate complex legal needs into clear, actionable project plans and define success metrics.
- Identify bottlenecks in legal workflows, map and fix them, and document new standard operating procedures.
- Manage IP management systems to ensure data integrity for our patent strategy.
- Reduce administrative burden on IP attorneys by creating smoother intake processes for invention disclosures and patent decisions.
- Legal Technology & Data Implementation:
- Lead execution of the Legal Technology roadmap, including evaluation, selection, implementation, configuration, UAT, and training.
- Build reporting frameworks and dashboards that track Outside Counsel spend, matter volumes, and IP metrics.
- Operational “Connective Tissue”:
- Collaborate with IT, HR, and other teams to embed legal requirements into company initiatives.
- Manage vendor and Outside Counsel data to stay within budget and billing guidelines.
- 7+ years of experience in Legal Project Management, Legal Operations, or Technical Program Management (TPM); hardware or engineering experience is a plus.
- Track record of executing complex projects as an individual contributor.
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, project management tools (Jira, Asana, ), and data visualization platforms.
- Clear understanding of waterfall and agile project management principles applied to non‑software environments.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented organization.
- Degree or certification in program or project management.
- Prior experience working with a legal organization.
- Tech‑industry experience with complex technologies.
Travel: Up to 10%
Compensation: Approximately $111,692 – $145,649 base salary, plus bonus and equity. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K match, unlimited PTO, parental leave, legal insurance, home‑internet stipend, and pet insurance.
