Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ERP Configuration Specialist to support and maintain enterprise applications, product master data, and configuration systems within a manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for managing material master data, product configurations, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and system-related processes that support manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and order-to-cash activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with ERP systems, product data management, manufacturing processes, and cross‑functional teams to ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain and manage material master data, item master records, and product attributes within ERP systems.
- Create, update, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and product structures.
- Configure and support product configurator tools and associated business rules.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of product and manufacturing data.
- Support order-to-cash processes through proper maintenance of product master data.
- Establish and enforce data governance standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, and IT teams to implement product and process changes.
- Support ERP enhancements, upgrades, testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Analyze business requirements and recommend process improvements related to product data and system configuration.
- Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and training materials.
- Assist with regulatory and compliance‑related product data requirements.
- Train and support end users on ERP and product configuration processes.
- Generate reports and perform data analysis to support operational decision‑making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience supporting ERP systems, master data management, or manufacturing systems.
- Experience maintaining Material Master, Item Master, or Product Master Data.
- Experience creating or maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and business processes.
- Experience with data validation, testing, and process documentation.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP platforms.
- Experience with product configuration or variant configuration tools.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) principles and data governance.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, medical device, industrial, automotive, or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing.
