We are seeking a hands‑on GCP Cloud Architect to join a growing, mission‑driven technology organization at the intersection of cloud computing, AI, and scientific innovation
. This individual will play a critical role in shaping and scaling the company’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and built for future growth.

What You’ll Do- Lead the design and evolution of the organization’s cloud architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and highly available
- Enhance and optimize existing infrastructure and services
- Implement and strengthen cloud security best practices
- Collaborate closely with engineering and research teams to support evolving technical needs
- Take a hands‑on approach to building, deploying, and maintaining cloud solutions
- Help establish standards, processes, and long‑term architectural direction
- ~5+ years of experience in cloud engineering/architecture
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience designing and managing scalable distributed systems
- Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure best practices
- Ability to operate with high ownership and autonomy
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
- Comfortable in a hands‑on, builder role (not purely strategic)
- Experience in startup environments and/or large‑scale tech companies
- Exposure to AI/ML or data‑intensive workloads
- Background in regulated or scientific industries (e.g., biotech, healthcare)
- Collaborative, fast‑moving team environment
- Opportunity to work closely with engineering leadership and technical stakeholders
