Job Summary The Material Planner II plays a critical role within the Supply Chain Management team, ensuring the seamless flow of raw materials required to support manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for optimizing material availability, balancing warehouse capacity constraints, and maintaining inventory targets to proactively prevent supply disruptions.
Through strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration, the Material Planner II helps drive operational excellence, efficiency, and business continuity.

Through teamwork, proactive planning, and strong communication, we support operational excellence and continuous improvement across the organization.
Your
Key Responsibilities Plan and execute planning of raw materials from domestic and international suppliers. Ensure that raw material and related inventory are available on time to support requirements through purchase order creation, management, and escalation (when needed).Create and maintain Master BOM’s within MRP system.
Monitor schedule to assure materials are procured within Lead Times established in the ERP system.
Participate in the decision-making process regarding schedule changes by communicating current inventory levels and anticipated receipts.
Manage Implementation and coordination of best practice inventory planning and replenishment of raw materials, other manufacturing components. In collaboration with the Warehouse Manager, manage inventory levels to avoid any obsolescence and report slow moving items to SCM Team.
Manage processes and leverage systems to efficiently plan & procure in a growth-oriented environment.
Communicate any rejection of any WIP or Finished good for immediate disposition.
Coordinate delivery schedules of blanket orders with vendors (define dates and quantities) and any changes in delivery requirements or confirmations.
Construct appropriate inventory strategies to manage adequate inventory levels. Monitor expired, obsolete and rejected material to avoid impact to the operations area.
Anticipate and communicate any material shortages quickly.
Manage material conversions to minimize obsolescence, reduce impact to customer service and comply with regulatory requirements.
Provide timely input in various meetings.
Establish and maintain rapport with all levels of supplier personnel and internal customers.
Perform periodic review and validation of item master data information such as lead times, scrap factor, lot size order quantities, safety stocks, yields, etc.
Monitor MRP and communicate any issues immediately to Project Managers Perform periodic update of procedures related to production and materials planning process.
Participate in the budget review process.
Provide information to our customers when required.
Provide materials projection for strategic planning and development.
Act as back up to all Planner/Buyer and Planning Manager functions.

Your Experience & Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Management, or Material Management required.
3-4 years of experience Planning/Buying or Materials and Production Planning, preferably in a GMP pharmaceutical environment required.
Experience with an ERP required, preferably Dynamic AX.Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures.
