The Asset Lifecycle Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of physical assets to maximize value, performance, and longevity while managing risk and cost. This role ensures assets are planned, acquired, operated, maintained, optimized, and disposed of in alignment with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals. Acting as a bridge between operations, finance, and strategy, the Asset Lifecycle Manager uses data-driven insights to support capital planning, improve asset performance, and enable informed decision‑making throughout the asset lifecycle.
This role controls CMMS access, oversees system governance, and ensures data integrity through defined standards and processes. The Asset Lifecycle Manager reviews and defines training requirements, provides on‑the‑job training (OJT), and represents the site on multi‑site or global teams to drive alignment and consistency in asset and system management practices.
Responsible for managing all onsite and external warehousing and storage activities, including inventory control, transportation coordination, recall management, cleanliness, and overall warehouse operations, to support reliable asset availability and lifecycle performance.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of physical assets, from planning and acquisition through operation, optimization, monetization, and disposal, to maximize value, performance, and longevity while managing risk and cost.
- Ensure asset management practices align with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals, supporting effective capital planning and lifecycle investment decisions.
- Track, tag, and account for all assets throughout their lifecycle, including new, transferred, off‑site, stored, and retired assets, ensuring accurate and timely updates to the Fixed Asset Registry (FAR).
- Manage asset onboarding, installation, inventory walkthroughs, reporting, and final disposition, including reconciliation of assets sold or disposed of within the FAR.
- Provide accurate asset data and reporting to maintenance teams and stakeholders to support installation, preventive maintenance, and ongoing asset performance.
- Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience; or a master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience; or a PhD with 0+ years; or an associate’s degree with 8 years; or a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience with asset support in a supervisor or leadership role.
- Education or background in asset management.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and track to completion.
- Understanding of procurement systems and their utilization in acquiring capital.
- Experience in system administration and control, preferably in a pharmaceutical setting and/or a Computerized Maintenance Management system such as Maximo, Tririga or EAMs.
- Certified Reliability Professional.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Finance/Computer Science or other related fields of study.
Due to the nature of work assignment, the Asset Lifecycle Manager must be able to perform detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks, with frequent interruptions and under time constraints. On a daily basis, the position responsibilities may require the ability to stoop, to reach, to stand, to walk the site for extended periods of time; to push and/or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds;
to lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds; to sit/stand at a computer workstation for extended periods of time. On a frequent basis, essential duties of the position may require the ability to climb stairs, to kneel and/or crouch to retrieve items.
