User Experience Researcher (Bothell, WA)
Responsibilities- Provide advanced strategic guidance on user research methodologies and prioritize medical device product studies.
- Extract user and consumer insights to align with project objectives and represent the voice of the customer across all phases of consumer product development for Philips Oral Healthcare.
- Ensure a seamless flow from User Needs to User Requirements to Product Requirements and develop systematic approaches for all user research challenges to facilitate verification and validation of relevant consumer insights.
- Develop overall user research plans for value proposition and/or product development projects, including formative, iterative, summative, validation, and claim substantiation studies.
- Review and finalize consumer‑focused project requirements, including milestones, deliverables, and input for decisions; perform project decision‑making through the application of clear and agreed targets and action standards.
- Engage stakeholders to validate high‑level value propositions, ensure alignment with strategic goals, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to prioritize requirements based on importance, resources, and potential outcomes.
- At least 3+ years of research experience with a Bachelor’s degree in User Experience (UX) Design, Information Architecture, User Research, Product Design, Usability Testing, or an equivalent field.
- Emphasis on medical device development, app development, and/or clinical research; knowledge of GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and GDP (Good Documentation Practice) is a strong plus.
- Ability to perform comprehensive root cause analysis of moderate customer complaints, identify systemic issues, and devise and enact sustainable solutions or process enhancements to prevent recurrence.
- Solid research skills from planning to reporting, including survey design and moderation of in‑person qualitative research.

This is an office‑based role. Employees are expected to work in‑person at least 3 days per week. The position is located in Bothell, WA, or within commuting distance.
Compensation and BenefitsThe pay range for this position in Washington is $129,000 to $205,000. Compensation may vary within the posted range based on experience and business needs. Additional compensation such as annual incentive bonuses, sales commission, or long‑term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in the Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes generous PTO, a 401(k) plan with up to a 7% match, HSA with company contribution, stock purchase plan, education reimbursement, and more.
