Annual Salary Ranges:
Level 1: $83,468 to $111,704;
Level 2: $93,673 to $124,496;
Dependent on Experience and Qualifications
This position entails regular and recurring installation, repair, and maintenance work in the District’s water and sewer systems. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Installs, services, and repairs all District water and sewer facilities, system components,
vehicles, and equipment, including operation of vehicles and heavy equipment. - Taps water and sewer mains for connections; repairs street curbs, streets, and sidewalks impacted by operations.
- Locates, inspects, and performs necessary repairs on new and existing water and sewer service sand components.
- Ensures on-site safety compliance during field operations.
- Processes work orders; assists in final project inspections.
- Reads water meters; assists staff in meter re-reads; checks for indications of leaks and advisescustomers accordingly.
- Works with other District staff to perform service disconnection, water meter lock outs, and
reconnections. - Responds to emergency call outs and after-hours support.

RequirementsQualifications:
- Required:
any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant withthe knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job. - Required:
ability to obtain a Water Distribution Manager 1 or 2 within one year of appointment. - Preferred: between one year (for Level
1) and five years (for Level
2) of experience in the maintenance, repair, and operation of a public utility, or water and sewer district. - Required:
High School Diploma or GED. - Required:
valid Washington state driver’s license; acceptable driving record; and for Level 2, a Commercial Driver’s License (Class “A” with Airbrake and Tanker Endorsement). - Required:
Certified Competent Person;
Industrial First Aid Card; CPR/Blood Borne Pathogens;
Certified Work Zone Traffic Control (Flagging Card);
Forklift Certified (within 12 months for Level
1).
