Job Description
This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. Join a strategic initiative to transform our broadband device software development organization. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative software for the next generation of broadband gateways serving 15 million+ customers.
You will leverage your expertise in development testing to drive technical excellence, implement advanced testing methodologies—including AI-driven approaches—and uphold a quality-first mindset throughout the software lifecycle. Your dedication to thorough validation and continuous improvement will help set our products apart in a highly competitive market and contribute to the success of industry-leading solutions.
- Conduct development testing for new features in an Agile development environment.
- Create test plans, write automations, and execute testing on daily check-ins and new features prior to handing off to end certification lab.
- Work closely with the development team to validate software functionality and stability.
- Characterize the before and after functionality of new software changes looking for different behaviors or a change in resource usage.
- Validate documentation provided for new features.
- Provide and manage development CPE, connected to network equipment for development.
- Proficient in Python programming language.
- Experience with test equipment and protocols including Spirent Octobox, Viavi Test Center, Viavi Cyberflood, iPerf, Robot Test Framework.
- Good understanding of broadband and mobility networks.
- Experience with embedded Linux devices and software development.
- Interested in ongoing development and learning new technologies.
- Works well in high stress environment.
- Experience using AI to implement test plans and automation.
- Understanding of programming languages including
C. - Understanding of home networks and associated technologies.
