Journeyman Electrician
This role involves working across three 2MW solar project sites, supporting the installation and electrical completion of solar arrays. You will use your active journeyman electrician license to perform conduit layout, wire pulling, panel racking, and assist with AC and DC terminations on utility-scale solar installations.
Responsibilities
- Work across multiple 2MW solar sites in the region, supporting construction and electrical installation activities.
- Lay out and install conduit according to site plans and electrical codes.
- Pull and route electrical wiring for AC and DC circuits throughout the solar installation.
- Rack and secure solar panels, ensuring proper mechanical alignment and structural integrity.
- Perform mechanical work related to solar array installation, including assembly and adjustment of racking systems.
- Assist with AC and DC terminations under applicable electrical standards and safety requirements.
- Operate a skid loader to move racking materials and equipment around the job site as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and site rules while working on active construction sites.
- Collaborate with on-site team members to complete tasks efficiently and maintain project timelines.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
Essential Skills
- Active, card-holding journeyman electrician license.
- Experience working with AC and DC electrical systems.
- Ability to lay out conduit and pull electrical wire on construction or industrial sites.
- Capability to perform mechanical tasks such as racking and mounting solar panels.
- Experience operating a skid loader or similar equipment, or willingness to learn on site.
- Ability to work safely on outdoor construction sites and follow safety procedures.
- Availability to work at local solar sites without requiring travel support.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior solar installation experience, especially on utility-scale or commercial projects, is ideal.
- Experience working on multiple job sites or large-scale construction projects.
- Comfort working with both AC and DC terminations under supervision or in coordination with other electricians.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate clearly with field crews.

Work Environment
This role is based on outdoor solar construction sites involving three 2MW installations in the local area. You will work primarily in the field, handling conduit, wiring, solar panels, and racking systems, and operating a skid loader to move materials. The environment includes typical construction site conditions such as uneven terrain, exposure to weather, and physical tasks like lifting, bending, and working at various heights.
Work hours follow standard construction schedules, with the potential for variations based on project needs. You will use common electrical tools, solar installation equipment, and heavy machinery such as a skid loader, while adhering to site safety protocols and wearing appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment.

This is a Permanent position based out of North Branch, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
This will be a contract only position, even though its a DP.
