Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

BHcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide psychiatric assessment, medication management, and integrated behavioral health support for adults living with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. • Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations and provide ongoing medication management following nationally recognized clinical guidelines.
• Complete timely assessments, progress notes, and treatment documentation in alignment with BHcare policies.
• Support Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) initiatives, including Suboxone induction and monitoring when applicable.

• Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and clinicians to ensure coordinated, high‑quality care.
• Participate in treatment planning, review/sign clinical evaluations and treatment plans, and contribute to improved performance standards.

• Utilize EHR platforms including Care Logic, electronic labs, and e‑prescribing systems.
• Complete physician emergency certificates when clinically indicated.

• APRN and experience serving individuals with severe and prolonged mental illness and substance abuse is required. Minimum of two years of such experience highly preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of computer applications, and if applicable ability to navigate through electronic health record.

• CT Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license required
• ANCC certification as Mental Health/Psychiatric specialist highly preferred
• DEA Controlled Substance License Required
• CT DCP Controlled Substance Licensure required
• The Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000 (DATA 2000 Waiver) for Suboxone (preferred)
