AboutThe Role
As the YAS Program Manager, you will oversee the daily operations and clinical direction of our Young Adult Services program. You’ll guide staff, maintain regulatory standards, and ensure services empower young adults to pursue individual goals related to employment, education, community integration, and independent living.
This leadership role blends program management, clinical supervision, staff development, and direct support when needed. You will play a central part in shaping a recovery‑oriented, person‑centered environment where young adults can thrive.
What You’ll Do Program & Clinical Leadership- Oversee daily operations of the Young Adult Services program
- Monitor admissions and discharges to ensure appropriate service utilization
- Approve new YAS clients and ensure smooth program transitions
- Provide clinical oversight, including review/sign‑off on treatment plans, assessments, and documentation
- Integrate psychiatric rehabilitation, TCM, IDDT, and stages‑of‑change principles into service delivery
- Implement new program services and ensure alignment with organizational mission
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff
- Foster a positive and supportive team culture
- Provide ongoing training and clinical consultation
- Support staff skill development in motivation, coaching, and goal‑setting
- Ensure staff meet programmatic expectations for direct service and engagement
- Monitor records for accuracy, compliance, and quality improvement
- Ensure adherence to DMHAS, Medicaid, CARF, and internal standards
- Supply timely data and reporting to leadership
- Participate in Young Adult Leadership meetings with DMHAS
- Assist with program policy updates and ensure alignment with evidence‑based practices
- Provide crisis assessment, intake support, and individual/group services when needed
- Promote natural supports and community integration

Qualifications- Master’s degree in social work or related mental health field required.
- Five years’ experience in a psychiatric and/or substance abuse setting.
- Minimum of one year supervisory/managerial experience strongly preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft 365. Must be able to navigate through electronic health records system (EHR).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must maintain an acceptable driving record and be insurable at a reasonable rate under the Organization’s auto insurance plan.
- Knowledge of Psychiatric Rehabilitation is desirable.
