Equipment Mechanic
The Town of North Branford is accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Equipment Mechanic in the Public Works Department. Duties include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automobiles, trucks, tractors, road machinery, and other motor‑driven, mechanical or other equipment. Responsibilities also cover related work as required.
Requirements: High school equivalence, Class A CDL without restrictions, ASE certifications, and 3–5 years of experience. Any combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Must have knowledge of diesel, welding, hydraulic, electrical, computer diagnostic, and record maintenance equipment.
Compensation and Benefits: Starting wage is $34.65, rising to $39.14 after one year. Benefits include excellent health insurance, life insurance, 401(a), and 457(b).
