This position is based on-site in North Canton, OH, within a campus environment that includes a cafeteria, coffee café, and gym. Candidates must currently reside in NE Ohio. Sponsorship and relocation are not available for this position.

Position Summary

Responsible for performing requirements gathering/elicitation and analysis to understand current state processes, complex business rules, and desired future states of corporate initiatives and projects.

Essential Functions
  • Perform requirements gathering/elicitation and analysis to understand current state processes, complex business rules, and desired future state.
  • Manage and maintain requirements and design information from inception to project closure, ensuring that all details are fully documented, communicated, understood and implemented.
  • Analyze requirements, forecast the impact of proposed changes, define assumptions, dependencies, risks, and constraints.
  • Create and maintain documentation including Business Requirements Documents (BRD), System Requirements Specifications (SRS), use cases, use case diagrams, and Requirements Traceability Matrices, ensuring the final product meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Verify requirements by clarifying any vague or conflicting details and ensuring the final list of requirements is clear, concise, and feasible.
  • Validate requirements by evaluating them with regard to priority and relevance to the project, and obtain approval for all business requirements and related deliverables.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in business/technical writing, business process modeling, and business process flow.
  • Apply requirements elicitation techniques such as interviewing, questionnaires, surveys, user observation, analysis of existing documentation, workshops, storyboarding, and prototyping.
  • Possess in‑depth knowledge of project management and software development life cycles, including waterfall and agile methods; document requirements according to the selected methodology.
  • Develop use cases, create screen mockups, and conduct gap analysis.
  • Analyze BRD and SRS documents, creating technical design specifications, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers to follow.
  • Adhere to established Departmental Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines.
  • Maintain an individual development plan and receive training to remain current in KAG standards, procedures, business functions, company goals, and business analyst competencies.
  • Participate in departmental activities as needed and help train and orient junior team members or customers in system‑related functions and business analyst competencies.
Qualifications
  • A 2- or 4‑year degree in computer science or related equivalent experience.
  • Hands‑on experience developing applications, preferably using Microsoft .NET development environment.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, specifically database design and normalization.
  • Project management working knowledge.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
  • Strong analysis, design, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
