Job Title
Parc naturel régional de Brière is recruiting a coordinator to lead the territorial surveillance system for wild bird botulism in the Brière marsh and, in case of outbreak, to coordinate the management of an avian botulism crisis.
Job DescriptionThe avian botulism is a recurrent health phenomenon in the summer in wetlands, which can lead to significant mortality of birdlife. Its monitoring and management involve many actors from the territory: park agents, Syndicat du Bassin Versant du Brivet (SBVB), Commission syndicale de Grande Brière Mottière (CSGBM), users of the marsh, as well as wildlife veterinarians, SAGIR network, OFB and federation and associations of hunters.
The proposed mission aims to coordinate this collective mobilization, whether a crisis occurs or not during the season.
Ability to organize, coordinate and be autonomous Ability to rally and coordinate multiple actors (local authorities, associations, users) Good knowledge of the Brière marshes desired (or strong ability to quickly gain competence) Knowledge in epidemiology or in wildlife health appreciated Proficiency with data tracking and reporting tools (dashboards, cartography) Notions of legal and financial frameworks of the territorial public service (vacations, public procurement, agreements) appreciated Strong motivation for outdoor work, including in difficult conditions Navigation skills Driver's license B (VL) Availability and responsiveness, including in emergencies (on-call possible in crisis periods)
