Part-Time Instructor Position

Stark State College is looking for a part-time instructor to:

  • Teach courses in both traditional and non-traditional (e.g., hybrid, online) formats
  • Prepare and deliver effective instructional materials
  • Assess student performance and submit all required reports—never-attends, early alerts, midterm grades, and final grades—by established deadlines
  • Adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles
  • Work effectively with students from a wide variety of backgrounds
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and continuous professional development is highly valued

College-level teaching experience strongly preferred

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work productively in a collaborative environment
  • Proficiency with instructional technology and course-management tools

Master's degree in philosophy or a related discipline, and 18 graduate credit hours in philosophy or a Juris Doctorate are required.

Stark State College utilizes E-Verify to ensure compliance with applicable employment eligibility laws. E-Verify is an electronic system used to confirm the employment eligibility of new hires.
