Part-time Instructor for Mathematics Department

Stark State College is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time instructor to join our Mathematics Department. Typical responsibilities include:

• Prepare and deliver evening, weekend, and web-based courses in Psychology.
• The use of learning management systems and/or learning new software as needed.
• Participate in mandatory college activities that support the department and the mission of the college.
• Additional responsibilities include preparing instructional materials and assessing student performance, including electronic submission of never attends, early alerts, mid-term grades, and final grades by the required dates.
• Have the ability to work with a wide range of learning styles and backgrounds.

To be considered, you'll need:

• A Master's Degree in Mathematics or Statistics or related field OR a Master's Degree (any discipline) and 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics or Statistics.
• To demonstrate effective communication and organization skills.
• To show evidence of the depth of knowledge, background, and continual development in the field of teaching and area of expertise.
• One year or more of tutoring or teaching is preferred.

The State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) is available to all faculty members. The College contributes 14% of the employee's wages for the retirement benefit and the employee contributes 14% of their wages toward the retirement benefit. Instructional fees for credit, audit, or non-credit courses offered at Stark State College will be paid by the College from the income of the College budgeted for employee benefits up to an amount per academic semester not to exceed such fees for six credit hours per semester.
