Math Instructor

ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR – MATHEMATICS (ALGEBRA) – PART TIME

Ross Education Holdings, Inc. is a growing non‑profit education organization that offers nursing, medical assisting, dental assisting, and more across multiple campuses. This campus‑based position is located in North Canton, OH (Canton, OH 44718).

The role delivers general education algebra instruction within the Ross curriculum, supporting student retention and academic success.

• Deliver coursework as it applies to the appropriate Ross curriculum.
• Enter classroom at the designated time with all necessary materials; begin and end class on schedule.
• Monitors class retention rates and actively participate to promote student retention to exceed the accreditation standard of 80%.

• Review standard Ross curriculum and prepare for class instruction.
• Correct student assignments and tests; review results and return graded coursework promptly.
• Record grades, proficiencies, and attendance using campus management software.
• Cooperate with lab schedules, maintain weekly office hours, and may proctor Saturday makeup sessions if requested.
• Complete a minimum of one pre‑approved professional development workshop, seminar, or course related to the teaching discipline each fiscal year.
• Attend two Ross Education LLC in‑services every fiscal year.
• Attend formal and informal faculty/staff meetings.
• Inform the Director of unsatisfactory academic progress, discipline or attitude problems, and occurrences that warrant discussion.
• Provide additional support to students on alerts, warnings, and/or probation.
• Attend quarterly faculty meetings to discuss classroom concerns, student issues, retention, placement, curriculum development, assessment, and survey results.
• Participate in Campus Externship Seminars as directed by the Director.
• Participate in school events regarding student retention and graduate placement.
• Advises the Director of any equipment repair/replacement needs or supplies issues.
• Perform related work as required.

• A master’s degree in mathematics or related discipline.
• Good computer skills, flexibility, and a go‑with‑the‑flow attitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced work environment.
• Sufficient ability to move around the building; reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
• Position is in person (Campus based).
