Part-time Instructor Position

Stark State College is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time instructor to join our Mathematics Department. The successful candidate will contribute to the college's commitment to academic excellence, student success, and community engagement. Typical responsibilities include:

• Prepare and deliver evening, weekend, and web-based courses in Mathematics.
• Use of learning management systems and/or learning new software as needed.
• Participate in mandatory college activities that support the department and the mission of the college.
• Additional responsibilities include preparing instructional materials and assessing student performance, including electronic submission of never attends, early alerts, mid-term grades, and final grades by the required dates.
• Have the ability to work with a wide range of learning styles and backgrounds.

To be considered, you'll need:

• A Master's Degree in Mathematics or Statistics or a related field OR a Master's Degree (any discipline) and 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics or Statistics.
• To demonstrate effective communication and organization skills.
• To show evidence of the depth of knowledge, background, and continual development in the field of teaching and area of expertise.
• One year or more of tutoring or teaching is preferred.
