Stark State College is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time Non-Credit Blueprint instructor to join our Mechanical Engineering Technology Department. The successful candidate will contribute to the college's commitment to academic excellence, student success, and community engagement.

TypicalResponsibilities Include:
- Develop and deliver hands-on blueprint reading workshops focused on the interpretation and application of construction drawings.
- Deliver instruction across Architectural, Structural, Site, Civil, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical plans.
- Demonstrate how construction drawings, details, schedules, specifications, symbols, and other technical documentation are used in real-world construction settings.
- Aim to bridge theory and practice, fostering confidence and accuracy in reading and utilizing technical drawings for construction personnel.
- Guide learners through real-world scenarios and problem-solving exercises.
- Have the capacity to adapt teaching methods to various experience levels and learning styles.
- Evaluate student learning through practical exercises, assessments, and other instructional activities.
- Provide academic support, individualized guidance, and constructive feedback to help students strengthen their skills.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and interactive learning environment that encourages questions, discussion, and hands-on participation.
- Check college email regularly and complete required training,
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in a related field.
- Professional experience in architecture, engineering, or a construction-related field.
- Current knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction terminology.
- Current knowledge of industry standards, symbols, scales, and conventions used in blueprint reading.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
- Strong instructional and presentation skills.
