As an Environmental Specialist III, you will need functional and technical expertise and skills in areas of air, water and/or waste. In this role, you will run projects and programs of moderate complexity that require a specialized breadth of expertise. Responsibilities / Expectations- Develop and maintain environmental processes and policies; conduct required environmental training.
- Assess environmental risk, provide recommendations to address risk, and handle the approved course of action, including required regulatory documentation.
- Participate in environmental project planning and implementation, including scheduling, cost estimating, preparation of environmental impact assessments, and reporting.
- Prepare and submit sophisticated applications to procure environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances, and other authorizations and coordinate with company partners.
- Perform environmental compliance audits and due diligence investigations as needed.
- Develop, recommend, and implement improvements for systems and practices in air, water, waste management, and/or remediation activities for assigned areas.
- Assist with the preparation of all required compliance reports and certifications and develop and maintain documentation related to environmental compliance programs.
- Cultivate relationships between Williams and regulatory agencies.
- Interpret applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations and ensure compliance.

- Required:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum four (4) years’ environmental experience.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with safety as the utmost priority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and a customer‑minded approach.
- Knowledge of the Clean Air Act regulations and applicable New Source Performance Standards, National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants, Greenhouse Gas Reporting, and state‑specific requirements.
- Experience with air emission modeling or screening software.

Optical Gas Imaging certification. - Preferred:
Experience with environmental regulations for Ohio EPA (OEPA) and Air Services. - Preferred:
Experience in multiple subject areas such as waste management, air quality, storm water management, environmental remediation, and/or water quality. Basic knowledge of RCRA, EPCRA, SPCC, NPDES, OSHA, LDAR, and corresponding state regulations. - Preferred:
Experience in the oil and gas industry, predominantly with natural gas processing and leak detection and repair regulations.
Assesses environmental risk, provides recommendation(s) as to the appropriate course of action to address such risk and participate in the implementation of the approved course of action, including development of required regulatory documentation. Coordinates regular environmental planning, scheduling and cost estimating for either OA support or Business Development/Project support. Prepares and submits more complex applications to procure environmental permits, approvals, variances, and other authorizations.
Develops and maintains necessary documentation related to environmental compliance programs (in one or all of the following media: Air, Water, Waste, SPCC, Hazardous Materials). Researches governmental and industry standards for compliance requirements. Assists senior level environmental specialists with preparation of environmental reports, plans and inventories for regulatory authorities.
