Civil Design Group Manager – Columbus, OH

• Lead multiple design teams in daily operations.
• Develop staffing needs and distribute work to balance workloads.
• Work with team leaders/project managers to monitor scope, schedule, budget, and overall health of projects.
• Monitor group workload, utilization, and billable hours.
• Collaborate with Civil Service Line leaders to identify additional staffing needs (training, personnel).
• Mentor staff while executing office and company growth plan.
• Prepare proposals/ contracts and manage projects.
• Successfully manage and deliver work tasks on time.
• Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across services such as Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, Landscape Architecture, Funding Strategies/Grant Writing, and Construction Administration.

• Proven record of managing multiple civil design engineers or teams, projects, and disciplines.
• Proven management process/style.
• Willingness to mentor and teach younger staff.
• Private development experience.
