Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Lean Engineer/Practitioner to join the manufacturing team. This role involves leading and implementing lean methodologies to optimize processes, eliminate waste, and drive continuous improvement across our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead projects and collaborate with global teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Improvement:
- Lead and participate in kaizen events and value stream mapping exercises.
- Identify and eliminate waste in manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement workflow charts and process maps to improve efficiency.
- Conduct time studies and analyze manufacturing layouts to optimize production.
- Coordinate and lead continuous improvement projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with global teams to share best practices and drive process improvements.
- Create and maintain project charters outlining objectives, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Monitor and evaluate current processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement lean methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other process improvement techniques.
- Ensure adherence to lean principles and practices across the manufacturing floor.
- Work closely with the Director of Manufacturing and global lean teams to align improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate daily communications with various departments and stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to team members on lean methodologies and practices.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in lean manufacturing and process improvement.
- Proven track record of leading successful lean projects and kaizen events.
- Strong understanding of lean methodologies such as Six Sigma (Black or Green Belt), Kaizen, and value stream mapping.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in creating and implementing process maps and workflow charts.
- Experience with time studies and manufacturing layout optimization.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in a lean-focused environment.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Collaborative attitude with a proactive, go-getter mindset.
