Position: PLC/HMI Systems Design Engineer (OEM Machinery)

You’re the engineer who can turn a customer spec into a rock‑solid controls architecture—and you love seeing that system run flawlessly on the factory floor.

What you’ll doOwn control systems engineering for Stolle Machinery product lines—requirements through commissioning.

Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs in AutoCAD Electrical aligned to CE and NEC.Program and debug PLCs/HMIs on Allen‑Bradley Control Logix and Siemens TIA Portal.

Direct testing, documentation, and construction support to match specs, codes, and customer requirements.

Collaborate with engineers, customers, and suppliers to resolve issues and manage component deviations.

Investigate field complaints, pinpoint problems, and drive corrective actions.

Manage project execution to hit timelines and budgets.

Research and apply electrical theory to advance design methods and system performance.

What you’ll troubleshoot

PLC and HMI/MMI systems

AC Variable Frequency Drives Motion control platforms

Industrial networks:
Device Net, Profibus, Ethernet What you’ve mastered

BSEE with 5–10 years of relevant industry experience.

Design techniques and tools for precision technical drawings.

Electronics, computer hardware/software, applications, and programming.

Core competencies:

math, reading/writing/speaking, listening, communication, critical thinking, decision‑making, and complex problem solving.

CAD deliverables: electrical schematics, control panel layouts, machine wiring diagrams, and on‑machine component location drawings.

Professional traits: detail‑obsessed, accountable, strong follow‑through, organized, excellent time management, and steady under pressure.

Tools of the trade

AutoCAD Electrical Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook

IFS ERP, Smar Team Rockwell : RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000, Factory Talk View ME, RSLinx, Drive Executive Siemens: TIA Portal (Version 13), Starter Allen‑Bradley and Siemens PLCs (with/without safety), servos, frequency drives, touchscreen operator panels

Work realities
40–55 hours/week; may include on‑call, evenings, and/or weekends.

Long periods of sitting or standing.

Travel up to 25%.Lift up to 50 pounds.
