Role Description
We are expanding our engineering capabilities to support growing demand in custom architectural millwork, commercial interiors, and specialty manufacturing.
Our Millwork Engineerneedsstrong customarchitectural millwork experience and expert-level Inventor proficiency. This role is ideal for a mid-level or senior engineer who enjoys solving design and build challenges, improving manufacturability, and collaborating closely with project management, machining, fabrication, finishing, and installation teams.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on creating buildable, efficient, and repeatable millwork solutions with theproductionfloor and installation process in mind.
Responsibilities- Engineer custom architectural millwork that is buildable, efficient, and optimized for manufacturability
- Produce and review production-ready shop drawings and 3D models using Autodesk Inventor
- Interpret architectural plans, elevations, finish schedules, and construction documents to create complete engineering packages
- Identify constructability issues before fabrication and develop practical solutions
- Collaborate directly with project management, machining, fabrication, finishing, and installation teams
- Apply value engineering and continuous improvement principles to reduce waste, setup time, and rework
- Engineer solutions using mixed materials including hardwood, laminate, metal, glass, plastics, upholstery, solid surface, and composites
- Create clear documentation, material takeoffs, and production-ready information
- Support successful project execution from engineering through manufacturing and installation
- 3-10 years of experience in custom and/or architectural millwork engineering
- Expert proficiency in Autodesk Inventor required
- Experience creating production-ready shop drawings and 3D models in Autodesk Inventor
- Experience with Microvellum or similar millwork engineering software preferred
- Experience with Solid-CIM 3D, Router-CIM, or similar CNC programming software is a strong plus
- Solid understanding of CNC programming concepts and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documents
- Strong knowledge of millwork fabrication methods, joinery, hardware, and multi-material construction
Based on experience and technical capability: $65,000 - $95,000
