Job Description Position
Purpose:
Assists the HR Manager in continual improvement efforts to improve HR practices and improve employee experience. Coordinates recruiting for position vacancies and focuses on employee retention of current workforce. Promotes positive employee relations. Focuses on plant-wide safety, including assisting the HR Manager in pro-active worker's compensation case management and pre-injury mitigation.
Essential Functions:- Assists HR manager with continuous improvement projects as needed that may include participation in cross-functional teams and working with other locations.
- Responsible for administrations process including payroll, and attendance tracking, FMLA/STD and other HR related tasks.
- Manage visitor registration and other guest related responsibilities.
- Work with supervisors and managers to assist with employee issues and questions to find resolution.
- Manage internal and external recruiting by working closely with the hiring managers to determine positions requirements, conduct phone screens, schedule onsite interviews, and manage the hiring process from start to finish.
- Assist with the implementation and management of the Hendrickson production training program.
- Maintain a positive employee culture with "on-the-floor" visibility and approachability, coordination of employee activities and events, and focusing efforts on employee retention.
- Maintains HR records by ensuring that documentation is completed, communicated, and retained.
- Delivers training for all associates, to meet and maintain annual training requirements and developmental training opportunities.
- Benefits administration that includes general benefits questions, presenting benefit orientation to new hires and communication of annual open enrollment.
- Four-year degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- SHRM or PRM certification preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in recruiting, both hourly and salary.
- Experience in a team or participative workforce environment is preferred.
- Excellent PC skills, including work processing, spreadsheet and presentation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time.
- Constant sitting.
- Occasional standing, walking and balancing.
- Minimal bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing and reaching.
- Lifting 1-5 lbs.
- Carry up to 5 lbs. approximately 25 feet.
- Push/Pull 1-10 lbs. of force 5 feet.
- Office setting.
- Minimal exposure to R&D lab and manufacturing setting.
- Highly organized.
- Efficient in record-keeping.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated
- Excels in a team environment.
