Job Description
As a Quality Inspector you will perform quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of wire & cable assemblies. You will inspect materials, parts, and products at different stages of production.
Responsibilities- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Accurately document the results of inspections and testing by completing reports and logs; input data into the quality database.
- Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures.
- Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
- Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.
- Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols and checklists.
- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervisor.
- High School Degree or equivalent experience required.
- 2 years required, 3 years preferred of quality inspector experience.
- Ability to analyze information.
- Ability to report research results.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to use measurement equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
$17.22 - $20.66 Per Hour. This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.
For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
