Job Summary

Receives, rotates, cuts, wraps, and merchandises fresh and processed meats, including grinds. Assists in merchandising of seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, and pre‑packed deli and assists in the rotisserie chicken area and full service deli. Assists in meat selection and cuts special meat arrangements for Members. Maintains all sanitation and safety standards within the meat department.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
  • Engage and assist Members by making recommendations and answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood. Prepare special cuts ordered by Members.
  • Cut, grind, and/or process fresh meats to company standards. Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts to packaging standards.
  • Ensure the meat case showcases all currently available products and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Stock and rotate meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases according to expiration dates. Dispose of damaged or expired products following guidelines.
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department, including cooler, freezer, and refrigerated display cases.
  • Inspect and store meat upon delivery to meet or exceed company quality standards.
  • Receive and unpack meat, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses in coolers and freezers.
  • Maintain all club policies and procedures.
