Marcom Content by Ashley (MCA) is looking for an outgoing, motivated and confident Sales & Business Development Intern to join our team. This internship is designed for students interested in sales, marketing and business development who want real-world experience generating leads, building relationships and helping grow a digital marketing agency.

You’ll spend your time making outbound sales calls, identifying prospective clients and visiting local businesses with our team to introduce MCA's services. This is an excellent opportunity to build communication skills, gain confidence in professional sales and learn how a marketing agency develops new business.

• Make outbound cold calls to prospective clients.
• Research local businesses and identify potential sales opportunities.
• Qualify leads and maintain accurate records in our CRM.
• Visit local businesses with Ashley to introduce MCA's marketing services and assist with business development efforts.
• Follow up with prospective clients through phone and email.
• Learn and confidently communicate MCA's services and value to potential clients.
• Help maintain an organized sales pipeline.
• Assist with preparing sales materials and presentations.
• Complete additional sales and business development tasks as needed.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Sales or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking with new people over the phone and in person.
• Professional, confident and positive attitude.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable receiving coaching and applying feedback.

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Customer service or sales experience.
• Hub Spot.
• Microsoft Office.
• Linked In or other professional networking platforms.

• Hands-on experience in business development and sales.
• Real-world cold calling and lead generation experience.
• Experience introducing marketing services to local businesses.
• Exposure to agency sales strategy and client acquisition.
• Mentorship from an experienced marketing and business development team.
• Professional communication, networking and relationship-building skills that transfer to any career.
