Drive gasoline or diesel-powered tractors to transport and spot trailers at loading docks and staging areas;
Perform trailer movements by attaching drive unit to trailers to move to and from dock doors for loading and unloading;
Check trailer lights and tires and inspect truck for defects before and after trips;
Monitor refrigeration units and check temperature when applicable;
Maintain an orderly lot and paperwork for trailer locations by performing daily yard checks
