Location: Half Moon
Job Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the Half Moon Cay. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payables at one or more Carnival Corporation owned and operated global destinations. The Accounts Payable Clerk also track purchase orders and process payments that come into Half Moon Cay accounting department from suppliers or customers.
ESSENTIALDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounts Payable Processing & Compliance:
Manage all aspects of the accounts payable sub-ledger, from invoice posting to final payment. - Ensure payments comply with company policies and procedures.
- Enter non-purchase order vendor invoices into Mark View for payment.
- Oversee lease agreements to ensure timely payments.
- Assist with the proper capturing of prepayments and inventory items to align with correct expense periods.
- Documentation, Reporting & Record Maintenance:
Complete and submit monthly expense spreadsheets. - Upload credit card receipts and scanned copies of checks/invoices to the shared server.
- Set up new vendors in the Mark View system.
- Request good standing letters from NIB and complete labor certificate applications for work permits.
- Reconciliation & Financial Accuracy:
Research and analyze the sub-ledger vs. general ledger to identify and reconcile discrepancies. - Ensure accuracy of financial entries and proper documentation of transactions.
- Assist with financial audits for accounts payable processes.
- Administrative & Team Support:
Provide support as needed to the Assistant Controller and Finance management. - Perform other duties as assigned or required by management.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality, strong leadership and knowledge of time management strategies.
- Proficiency with data entry and reporting tools; detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in accounts or finance or equivalent experience is required; additional education in Hospitality or related field.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in accounting with a good understanding of accounting.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be physically fit.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment as needed.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data entry and reporting tools.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Ability to multi-task and think critically.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong planning and coordination skills, especially in handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- May be requested to work a shift schedule while at any of the destinations.
