JOB SUMMARY:To ensure that general accounting records are handled in compliance with established regulations and policies.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and ValuesProcess journal entriesEnsure compliance with regulations, GAAP, and Tribal policyAssist with internal and external auditsAssist with answers to questions concerning accounts payable and payrollProcess accounts payable and payrollData entry; filing; assist with daily check runs, mailing and verifying addressesHandle request for information and data concerning accountingPerform daily tasks including data entryPerform account reconciliations and analysis as assignedAdding product purchased to the Item MasterAdding products purchased to new Branch PlantsComplete special projects and reports as neededComplete other clerical duties as neededParticipative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestionsAssist within the department for any and all duties as neededPerform other duties as asked by supervisor or managerEnsure competency of work from the standpoint of grammar, composition, and formatAdhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical mannerMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School diploma or GED requiredAssociates degree in accounting or a related field, preferredFive years' experience in an accounting office setting requiredMust demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookGeneral math skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsWilling to learn and to be adaptableNeat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygieneAttention to detailAbility to work as business demandsSelf-starter, must work without close supervision with ability to work independentlyAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of business English and spellingKnowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keepingPHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip itemsMust be able to respond to visual and aural cuesMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishMust be able to lift up to 25 poundsMust be able to work at a fast paceand operate in stressful situationsMust be able to use standard office equipment, including adding machine, computers, fax machine and photo copierMust be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including secondhand smokeMust be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidaysThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job.
