Accentuate Staffing has partnered with a growing Manufacturing Company in Warsaw and is seeking an Accounting Manager/Controller
. The Accounting Manager/Controller is responsible for directing and overseeing all financial and accounting operations of the facility. This position ensures the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, management of budgeting and forecasting processes, oversight of basic bookkeeping functions, accounts payable and receivable functions, payroll reporting and processing, cash flow management, inventory accounting, new customer account onboarding, credit application processing, and financial analysis.

The Controller serves as a strategic business partner to executive leadership by providing timely financial insights that support operational efficiency, profitability, and long-term business growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead all accounting operations, including basic bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and payroll posting and reporting.
  • Oversee daily bookkeeping activities, including transaction posting, reconciliations, journal entries, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
  • Manage accounts payable process, including vendor setup, invoice review, payment processing, expense coding, and resolution of vendor account discrepancies.
  • Manage accounts receivable process, including customer invoicing, payment application, aging review, collections follow-up, and customer account reconciliation.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Monitor company cash flow and working capital requirements.
  • Manage banking relationships and financing activities.
  • Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.
  • Develop and lead the annual budgeting process, including budget templates, timelines, departmental input, review meetings, approvals, and periodic financial forecasting.
  • Analyze variances and provide recommendations to management.
  • Prepare financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate product costing and inventory valuation methodologies.
  • Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs.
  • Monitor manufacturing efficiency and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Partner with production and operations leadership to improve profitability and operational performance.
  • Evaluate inventory accuracy and support cycle count and physical inventory processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
  • Manufacturing and inventory accounting experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Advanced understanding of cost accounting and inventory management
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis expertise
  • Strong working knowledge of basic bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes
  • Experience processing customer credit applications and maintaining customer account documentation
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound business judgment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
