Position: Administrative Support - Shipping/Receiving (Edenton, NC)

JLA International, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for Administrative Support in Shipping & Receiving position at its facility in Edenton, NC.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

* A High School diploma or GED (required)

* Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Word)

* Experience with administrative and general support tasks

* Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in day-to-day interactions and communicate effectively

* A detail-oriented approach in handling all tasks (e.g., ability to organize large amounts of information and track multiple deadlines)

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to lift, load & unload heavy packages

Job duties include but are not limited to:

- Receive samples & ensure test(s) requested meet requirements

- Notify customers of discrepancies and/or missing paperwork

- Data entry into Laboratory Information Management System

- Maintain UPS & Federal Express shipping programs

- Package & ship domestic and international shipments

- Keep records of shipments and follow-up on delivery

- Maintain adequate shipping supplies

- Assist with general office duties

This is a full-time position in which the employee will be eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
