About UsSenior Helpers of Waxhaw-Monroe provides in-home senior care services that help older adults remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes. As a locally owned agency, we partner closely with families, healthcare providers, and community organizations throughout Monroe, Indian Trail, Concord, Salisbury, and surrounding communities.
As our agency continues to grow, we are looking for a positive and outgoing Office Assistant who is interested not only in supporting daily office operations but also developing into a future Community Liaison role.
Position SummaryThis role is primarily responsible for answering incoming calls, managing front desk communication, and supporting small office administrative tasks that keep daily operations running smoothly.
The ideal candidate has a positive, outgoing personality
, enjoys interacting with people, and is comfortable representing our company both in the office and at community events.
This position may begin part-time and transition into full-time as the office continues to grow.
Schedule- Part-to-Full Time (20–40 hours per week)
- Weekday daytime hours
- In-office position located in Indian Trail, NC
- Occasional participation in local events (advance notice provided)
- Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally and promptly
- Provide friendly, compassionate customer service to clients, families, and caregivers
- Take accurate messages and ensure timely follow-up
- Greet visitors and maintain a welcoming office environment
- Assist with daily administrative and clerical tasks
- Scan, file, and organize documents and electronic records
- Support caregiver onboarding paperwork coordination
- Maintain front desk organization and office supplies
- Assist with scheduling updates and calendar coordination
- Assist the team at job fairs, hiring events, trade shows, and community events
- Help welcome visitors and share basic information about our services
- Support event setup, materials organization, and follow-up coordination
- Represent Senior Helpers professionally within the community
- Help ensure smooth communication between office staff and field caregivers
- Assist with follow-up calls and outreach when needed
- Support leadership team with small operational tasks as assigned
With training and demonstrated performance, this role may expand into:
- Client intake and inquiry coordination
- Referral partner follow-up
- Community outreach support
- Relationship building with local healthcare partners
- Positive, outgoing, and people-focused personality
- Comfortable speaking with new people and representing the company at events
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Prior receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers, email, and office software
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
Healthcare or home care experience is a plus but not required.
