Job DescriptionPosition: Administrative Assistant/Data Manager to the District EL Coordinator/Title III Program
Reports To: District ELD Dept. Coordinator
Term of Employment: 10 months
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors, and administrators.

- Maintain appropriate behavior and confidentiality related to performing and accomplishing assigned duties.
- Adhere to the federal guidelines regarding policies and procedures for the Title III program.
- Maintain the Title III Program documentation and organize and disseminate this information to the appropriate people.
- Assist the EL Coordinator in completing reports as may be required, including gathering information, typing reports, obtaining signatures, and mailing by the deadline.
- Maintain up‑to‑date students’ records for the Title III program, working with school data managers, the Power School administrator, NC DPI Data Manager, and third‑party providers such as ELLevation.
- Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records for the Title III program, working with school bookkeepers and fixed asset coordinators.
- Prepare the Annual Title III Handbook.
- Assist parents who seek information regarding the Title III Program.
- Maintain and keep all files current.
- Assist in preparing reports as may be required.
- Gather, file, and disseminate information as may be required.
- Assist in keeping a true and accurate record of all accounts and budgets as needed.
- Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders as needed.
- Greet visitors and staff with a positive attitude and respond to their needs.
- Receive and place telephone calls and provide telephone support for the Receptionist.
- Assist in preparing the handbook, program forms, and evaluation of data.
- Perform other tasks deemed necessary and appropriate by the immediate supervisor and/or the Superintendent.
- Project overall concern for personal appearance as it relates to job performance.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Fully bilingual English / Spanish.
- Experience as a secretary or equivalent work; demonstrated knowledge of office procedures and current technology, typing/keyboarding, general accounting procedures, Excel, and other secretarial skills.
- Experience with Power School and ELLevation is a plus.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
Must know how to properly operate or be willing to learn to operate all multimedia equipment, including current technology. All information relating to Richmond County Schools Federal programs, guidelines, and regulations.
Working EnvironmentThe usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. This classification is considered light physical work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects. Generally, the job requires sitting, walking, and standing.
This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
Employment will require an extensive background check.
Position Type: Full‑Time
Salary: $17.58 Per Hour
Job Requirements- High School/Trade School degree preferred.
